Kindness Stones

If you have landed on this page, you may have discovered one of our kindness stones. If you have found one of these stones then greetings from Canewdon! The village of Canewdon lies a few miles north of Southend, Essex. Since May 2025, we have started to share kindness stones both around the village and further afield as a way of spreading kindness in the community and beyond.

You are of course welcome to keep any stones you find, but we encourage you to hide them again so others can share the experience (please follow the guidelines here if you are hiding stones). We hope that some of these stones will have a long, eventful journey, and that they will bring a smile to a few faces along the way :-). You can discover your stone’s journey on this page – just look up the number found on the back of the stone. We would also love to hear where you have found it.
