We started hiding stones as a random act of kindness to people within the community and beyond, but we also want to ensure that we are kind to the environment and other people too. All of our stones are sealed with non-toxic sealant to prevent damage to the environment. We also ask that anyone wishing to hide stones please respect the following rules:

Please do not leave stones in National Parks, nature reserves, wetlands, woodland habitats, or anywhere where they pose a risk to wildlife or natural habitats. We fully support the idea of a leave-no-trace policy when it comes to nature.
Please respect private property. Stones should not be left anywhere where they may intrude on privately owned land or buildings. We encourage stones to be left in public spaces.
Please ensure that stones are not left anywhere where they may become a hazard or risk to passers by.

By following simple rules and respecting both the environment and others’ privacy and safety, you can continue to pass on a positive message safely. We thank you for being respectful and kind to all.
